Setting Up Hipporello Service Desk for Trello
This guide walks you through the complete setup process of Hipporello Service Desk for Trello.
Step 1: Add the Power-Up
Go to hipporello.com and choose Trello
Click the Add Power-Up button
Select the Trello board you want to use as your Service Desk
Click Add and continue
Once the Power-Up is installed, open your selected Trello board to complete the setup.
Step 2: Choose a Template
After installation, you will be prompted to select a template to help you get started faster. Templates provide pre-designed forms tailored to common use cases such as:
IT support
Customer service
Marketing requests
HR requests
You can also choose the method to receive your requests. You can have forms only, emails only or both. This determines how users will submit requests to your Service Desk.
Step 3: Configure Your Service Desk Details
Fill in your Service Desk information, including:
Service Desk name
Basic portal details
Request handling preferences
These settings define how your portal will appear and function.
Step 4: Grant Permissions
To complete the setup, you must grant Hipporello permission to access your Trello board.
This authorization allows Hipporello to:
Create Trello cards from submissions
Manage communication within cards
Send notifications
Sync request data with your board
Once permissions are granted, the setup process will finalize automatically.
Step 5: Access the Admin Panel
After setup is complete, you will be redirected to the Hipporello Admin Panel.
This is where you can:
Manage forms
Configure email integrations
Customize your User Portal
Set access rules
Adjust notification settings
Connect additional boards
Use the menu on the left side of the Admin Panel to configure all Service Desk settings.
At any time, you can return to your Trello board directly from the Admin Panel.
