Installing Hipporello on your Jira project
Setting Up Hipporello Service Desk for Jira
Let’s walk through the process of installing Hipporello's Service Desk for your Jira environment.
Step 1: Start the Installation
Visit hipporello.com, choose Jira and click the Get Started button to begin the setup process.
Step 2: Choose Your Jira Project
Next, select the Jira project you want to use as your Service Desk project. Using a project as a service desk means all incoming submissions will be created as issues inside this selected project and all the communication will take place within that project.
Step 3: Complete App Installation
Click Manage App and provide the required Service Desk information. You will be asked to confirm permissions so that Hipporello can:
Create and manage issues
Sync request data
Send notifications
Access project-level information
Approve the necessary permissions to continue.
Step 4: Access the Admin Panel
Once the installation is finished, you will be redirected to the Hipporello Admin Panel. This is the central configuration area where you can manage your Service Desk settings.
Using the left-hand menu, you can:
Configure forms
Set up email integrations
Customize your User Portal
Manage access controls
Connect additional Jira projects
Default Forms
After setup, several predefined forms are available to help you start collecting requests immediately.
You can edit existing forms, customize form fields, create new forms tailored to specific request types. Your Jira Service Desk is now ready to collect submissions and generate issues automatically.
