Connecting Multiple Jira Projects to the Same Service Desk Portal

Hipporello Service Desk allows you to connect multiple Jira projects to the same Service Desk User Portal. This enables you to route different request types into separate Jira projects while maintaining a single centralized portal for users.

Follow the steps below to connect and configure Jira projects.

Step 1: View Connected Jira Projects

  1. Go to admin.hipporello.com

  2. From the left menu, navigate to Connected Jira Projects

This section displays all Jira projects currently linked to your Service Desk portal.

Step 2: Connect a New Jira Project

  1. Click the Connect New button

  2. Select the Jira project you want to connect

  3. Click Add

Once completed, the newly selected Jira project will appear in the Connected Jira Projects list, confirming that it has been successfully linked.

Step 3: Route Form Submissions to the New Jira Project

If you want new submissions to create issues in the newly connected Jira project, you must create a new form.

Important:

The Jira project selected for a form cannot be changed after the form has been created.

To configure routing:

  1. Create a new form

  2. During form setup, select the Jira project where issues should be created

Each submission made through this form will automatically generate a new issue in the selected Jira project.

Step 4: Publish the Form

After completing the form setup:

  • Review and make any necessary changes

  • Click Publish to make the form live

Once published, the form connected to your new Jira project will begin creating issues for every new submission.

Step 5: Verify Project Connection

At any time, you can:

  • Open the form settings

  • Check which Jira project it is connected to

This ensures that submissions are being routed correctly to the intended project.
