How to Automatically Turn Forms into Asana Tasks
Transferring information from form fields directly to your tasks helps streamline your team's workflow and eliminates manual data entry. In this guide, we'll show you how to map form information to Asana tasks in just a few simple steps.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access Submit Actions
First, log in to your workspace and select the form you want to edit.
Select Submit Actions from the top menu.
2. Configure the Asana Task Details
Customize Task Name: Customize the task name here and use variables for dynamic content. This allows each task to have a unique title based on the form inputs.
Select Task Location: Here, you can choose the specific Asana section where your tasks will appear after a form is submitted.
Set Task Description: Add a variable to the task description to create a form summary. You can fully customize this section as well to ensure your team gets all the context they need.
3. Publish and Test
Now, we'll publish the form to save the setup and see it in action.
Open the live version, fill in some sample info, and submit the form.
4. Review the Result in Asana
Let’s go to the Asana project connected with the Service Desk.
Locate and open the task to review the information.
