How to Automatically Turn Forms into Notion Database Items
Transferring information from form fields directly to your Notion database items helps keep your workspace organized and efficient. In this guide, we will walk you through the process of mapping form data to Notion items using Submit Actions.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access Submit Actions
Log in to your dashboard and select the form you want to edit.
Navigate to and click on Submit Actions from the top menu.
2. Customize Item Details
Item Name: Customize the name of the Notion item that will be created. You can use variables to pull in dynamic content directly from the form inputs so each item has a unique, identifiable title.
Item Description: Add a variable to the description section to create a form summary. You can fully customize this field to ensure all relevant request details are visible at a glance.
3. Publish and Test
Click Publish to save your changes and see the setup in action.
Open the live form, fill in some sample information, and submit the form to test it out.
4. Review in Notion
Go to the Notion workspace connected with your Service Desk.
Locate and open the newly created item to review the information.
🎉 And that’s it! Mapping form information to your Notion database items is that simple.
