How Can I Fix the Local Storage Issue in my Browser?

In order for Trello and hence Hipporello Service Desk to work properly, you must allow cookies and local storage in your web browser. Read on to see how you can check or change the settings for your browser and fix the issue:

Google Chrome/Chromium

If you’re using Chrome as your browser, you may know that cookies and local storage are considered the same thing here. So, by following the steps below, you can fix local storage and cookie issues at the same time.

  1. Click on the menu button in the top-right corner of your Chrome window.

  2. Select “Settings”.

  3. Click “Cookies and site permissions”.

  4. Click on “Cookies and site data”.

  5. Toggle on the setting for “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)”.

  6. Toggle off the setting for “Block third-party cookies”.

  7. Next, scroll down to make sure that trello.com is not in your “Block” list. If it is, remove it from that list by clicking the trash icon.

If you do NOT want to enable cookies for all sites, you can still add admin.hipporello.com as an exception.

  • Visit chrome://settings/cookies and scroll down to “Sites that can always use cookies”.

  • Next, add admin.hipporello.com to allow cookies from Hipporello.

If the problem persists:

Try clearing the caches for admin.hipporello.com and trello.com.

In order to do that:

  1. Click on the menu button in the top-right corner of your Chrome window.

  2. Click “Settings”.

  3. Find the "Privacy and Security" section on the Settings page.

  4. Scroll down and click "See all cookies and other site data".

  5. Search for admin.hipporello.com and delete all cookies.

  6. Search for trello.com and delete all cookies.

Safari

Just like Chrome, Safari treats cookies and local storage as the same thing. To enable cookies and local storage for Safari, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the “Safari” menu and choose “Preferences”.

  2. Click the “Privacy” icon.

  3. Set the option labeled “Block Cookies:” to “Never”.

  4. Close the window.

If the problem persists:

Try clearing the caches for admin.hipporello.com and trello.com.

In order to do that:

  1. Click the Safari menu and choose Preferences.

  2. Go to the "Privacy" section and click on "Manage Website Data".

  3. Go to the "Cookies and Site Data" section.

  4. Search for admin.hipporello.com from the search box and delete all cookies.

  5. Search for trello.com and delete all cookies.

Firefox

If you’re using Firefox as your browser, follow the instructions below to enable cookies.

  1. Click the “Firefox” main menu and choose “Preferences”.

  2. Select the “Privacy and Security” panel.

  3. Set your options to "Standard".

If the problem persists:

Try clearing the caches for admin.hipporello.com and trello.com.

In order to do that:

  1. Click the menu button and select "Settings".

  2. Select the "Privacy & Security" panel.

  3. Go to the "Cookies and Site Data" section.

  4. Click the "Manage Data" button. You will see the "Manage Cookies and Site Data" dialog.

  5. From the "Search websites" field, search for admin.hipporello.com and delete all cookies.

  6. Search for trello.com and delete all cookies.

Microsoft Edge

Finally, here are the instructions to follow if you’re using Microsoft Edge.

  1. Click on the 3-dot (…) menu in the top-right corner of your Edge window.

  2. Select “Settings” from that menu.

  3. Go to the bottom of the page and click “Advanced”.

  4. Click on the “Content settings…” button under the Privacy and Security section.

  5. Click on “Cookies”.

  6. Toggle on the setting for “Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended)”.

  7. Toggle off the setting for “Block third-party cookies”.

  8. Next, scroll down to make sure that trello.com is not in your “Block” list. If it is, remove it from that list by clicking the trash icon.

If the problem persists:

Try clearing the caches for admin.hipporello.com and trello.com.

In order to do that:

  1. Click on the three dots icon at the top right.

  2. Click "Settings".

  3. Click "Advanced".

  4. Select "Privacy and security".

  5. Click "Cookies and other site data"

  6. Scroll down and click on "See all cookies and site data".

  7. From the search field, search for admin.hipporello.com and delete all cookies.

  8. Search for trello.com and delete all cookies.
